A method and a system for controlling output voltage of Power Management Integrate Circuit (PMIC) are disclosed by the present invention, wherein the method includes the following steps: power is supplied to each functional module of a terminal by the PMIC (S102); the terminal judges whether the power supply voltage of the functional module satisfies a demand (S104); the terminal transmits a voltage adjustment parameter corresponding to the demand to the PMIC if the power supply voltage of the functional module does not satisfies the demand (S106); the PMIC outputs the power supply voltage to the functional modules according to voltage adjustment parameter (S108). The problem of high heat power consumption of the mobile terminal due to inefficient voltage conversion in the prior art is resolved by the present invention.
