The battery cell modules (30-1-30-3) comprise battery cells and integrated cell electronics units (50-1-50-3) which are connected with the respective battery cells. The integrated cell electronics unit detects the voltage of the battery cell and compares the detected voltage with predetermined voltage and allows the discharge current to flow from the battery cell according to the comparison result. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) battery; (2) motor vehicle; and (3) method for manufacturing battery.
