摘要 <p>The present invention achieves a structure that is able to secure reliability of a learning value relating to the position of an adjustment member (24) that is a baseline for gear ratio control of a toroidal continuously variable transmission (4). With regard to a function that performs learning control wherein, with the condition that a predetermined learning permission condition is fulfilled for a controller (11) that controls the adjustment member (24) that is for causing the gear ratio of the toroidal continuously variable transmission (4) to be a desired value, in the state of the rotational velocity of an output shaft (14) being zero, the gear ratio of the toroidal continuously variable transmission (4) is adjusted, and the position of the adjustment member (24) in this state is learned and recorded as a position at which the output shaft (14) is caused to stop while an input shaft (3) is allowed to rotate, as the learning permission condition for executing learning control, by means of the controller (11), it is determined whether or not the rotational velocity of an engine (1) is unstable, and when it is determined that the rotational velocity is unstable, such as when the rotational velocity of the engine (1) is fluctuating in excess of the amount of fluctuation that can normally arise during idling, the execution of learning control is prohibited.</p>
