THERMOSETTING-RESIN-CONTAINING LIQUID HAVING DISPERSED FINE CARBON FIBERS, AND MOLDED THERMOSET RESIN OBTAINED THEREFROM

The purposes of the present invention are to disperse fine carbon fibers (CNT) in a thermosetting resin so that fine carbon fibers in the form of agglomerates are evenly dispersed and fibrillated in the liquid thermosetting resin and thereby to obtain a stable dispersed state; to reduce the viscosity of the liquid thermosetting resin in which the fine carbon fibers have been dispersed; and to provide a molded thermoset resin containing fine carbon fibers and obtained by curing the dispersion of fine carbon fibers and a process for producing the molded thermoset resin. The thermosetting-resin-containing liquid in which fine carbon fibers have been dispersed comprises (A) a thermosetting resin, (B) fine carbon fibers, and (C) a viscosity-reducing agent for fine carbon fibers which has a chemical structure represented by general formula (1). In the formula, R1 to R7 are each hydrogen atoms or the like, R5 and R6 may be bonded to each other to form a ring, and R1 to R7 each have up to 30 carbon atoms. The average number of carbon atoms of the compound (4x+2y+2z) is 400-6,000, and x, y, and z satisfy 0.6=(x+z)/(x+y+z)=0.9 and 0.6=y/(y+z)=0.9.
