<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system capable of controlling a device without installing a device driver in a client terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A client terminal 31 comprises: execution request means for transmitting an application execution request requiring also operation of a device 5 to an application execution server 3; execution result reception means for receiving first response data including an execution result for the application execution request; operation request means for transmitting a device operation request to the device 5 in response to reception of the first response data; and operation result reception means for receiving second response data including an operation result for the device operation request.
