Figs. 1, 2 and 3 show a rectifier stack consisting of a number of selenium rectifier tablets 5 terminal plates 7, resilient compressing members 8 and, if necessary, dummy plates 6, mounted in and insulated from a U-shaped housing 2. Figs. 4 and 5 show details of the housing which is provided with end clips 2a bent over to hold the rectifiers between insulating end-pieces 4. The top of the housing is bent slightly outwards to receive a lid 10 (Fig. 9) which has a stepped portion 13b engaging the edge of the turned-out portion of the U. Clips 2b, 2c are turned down to hold the lid in position. The terminals 7b pass to the exterior of the housing through slots in the lid. Tags 3a may be pushed through holes in a mounting-plate and twisted as described and claimed in Specification 912,792. |
