<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair for providing a suitable place to put a baggage such as a bag carried by a worker. <P>SOLUTION: A chair is provided in which the back surface side of a backrest 11 has a shape to be gradually retracted forward from a part close to the upper end to a lower part. The chair includes holding means 401, 403, 417 for supporting the load of an object B on the back surface side of the backrest 11 in order to use an area lower than the part close to the upper end as a space for arranging a baggage such as a bag or an other object B.
