An electrically heated underlayer for a floor covering comprises a length of insulated heating-wire arranged in a zig-zag manner between a sheet of felt and a sheet of woven fabric, e.g. twill, or a second sheet of felt, and secured in position by means of an adhesive sprayed on the felt. According to the Provisional Specification the underlayer may comprise two sheets of woven fabric connected at intervals to form pockets through which insulated heating wire is threaded. |
