<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem that generation of information loss resulting from conversion of a density value into a toner amount or the reverse at a toner total amount control process causes image quality deterioration such as gradation deterioration and the like. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device controlling respective outputs for a plurality of color materials for use in printing image data, has: first conversion means converting first signal values that are respective output signals for the plurality of color materials into respective amounts of the plurality of color materials; control means controlling the respective amounts of the plurality of color materials based on a limitation value for the total amount of the plurality of color materials per one pixel; and second conversion means converting the respective amounts of the plurality of color materials controlled by the control means into second signal values that are the corresponding output signals. In the case that the total amount of the plurality of color materials based on the first signal values is equal to or less than the limitation value in an attention pixel included in the image data, the control means outputs the first signal values as the second signal values to the attention pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
