<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve favorable speed change while preventing the reduction in fuel economy when move of an engine operation point and speed-change control of a mechanical transmission mechanism are simultaneously performed. <P>SOLUTION: Since a second motor speed N<SB POS="POST">MG2</SB>shifts from increase to decrease until the second motor speed N<SB POS="POST">MG2</SB>is synchronized with the post-change second motor speed N<SB POS="POST">MG2</SB>of an automatic transmission 18, the decrease gradient of an engine speed N<SB POS="POST">E</SB>is temporarily set to zero. Even if overshoot of the engine speed N<SB POS="POST">E</SB>beyond a target value varies, the decrease gradient of the engine speed N<SB POS="POST">E</SB>is reliably prevented from varying. The speed-change control of the automatic transmission 18 can be stably performed during a period where the engine speed N<SB POS="POST">E</SB>is temporarily set to zero. After synchronization of the second motor speed N<SB POS="POST">MG2</SB>, the engine speed N<SB POS="POST">E</SB>can be controlled alone to decrease toward the target speed, thereby preventing convergence time to the target speed from varying. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
