<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To encode an image data, having a plurality of pixels of a constant pattern like a stripe pattern continued for a period striding across packets, to produce a decoding value of the constant pattern representing the stripe pattern. <P>SOLUTION: In a prediction coding circuit 100, the pixel data indicating the top of a packet is input to a subtractor 101. When a match detection signal from a match detector 110 indicates a logical value "0", the prediction coding circuit 100 outputs the top data to the outside without quantization, through selectors 116, 117. Here, when the image data composed of the plurality of pixels like the stripe pattern continues for the period striding across the packets, the match detector 110 outputs a detection signal of a logical value "1", so as to switch the register 116 to select the input of a terminal 1, and outputs the decoded value of the packet immediately before, retained in a register 108, to the outside through the registers 116, 117. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
