<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module that has enhanced safety and improved productivity while ensuring connection strength against shock by vibration. <P>SOLUTION: In a battery module, a plurality of square batteries on which a first external terminal and a second external terminal are protrusively formed are arranged on one side surface, and the first external terminal of one battery and the second external terminal of the other battery of the adjacent two batteries are electrically connected by a coupling member. The coupling member has a first attachment portion having a first cylindrical junction to which the first external terminal is inserted and joined, a second attachment portion having a second cylindrical junction to which the second external terminal is inserted and joined, and a sidewall joining the first attachment portion and the second attachment portion.
