<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery holder capable of easily switching between a serial connection and a parallel connection of batteries. <P>SOLUTION: A battery holder with a serial/parallel switching mechanism of the present invention comprises: a first setting section, a second setting section, and a third setting section that are capable of setting batteries; a first electrode member connecting one electrode of the first setting section and another electrode of the third setting section; a second electrode member; a third electrode member; a fourth electrode member; and a movable electrode member that is movable to a first connection position and a second connection position. At the first connection position, a battery set in the first setting section and a battery set in the second setting section are connected in parallel to supply a current to a load connected to the third electrode member and the movable electrode member.
