<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave resonator with small ripple in the pass characteristics, and to provide a surface acoustic wave filter using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The surface acoustic wave resonator comprises a piezoelectric substrate 11, an IDT 13 configured of multiple electrode fingers provided on the surface of the piezoelectric substrate, and reflectors 14 provided in close proximity to both ends of the IDT. The IDT is configured to have an equal pitch region in the center part where the pitch of the electrode fingers is constant, and gradation regions 1250 at both ends of the IDT where the pitch of the electrode fingers is decreased gradually. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
