<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of displaying menus for a television system comprising a user interface program, display means, and a removable smart card. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises: displaying by display means at least one menu in a list of menus associated with data stored in a smart card; and, in response to a command issued by a user, exchanging a parameter to be changed by the user between a device and the smart card via a user interface program.
