<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor, in which leakage loss from an engagement clearance between a fixed scroll and a turning scroll is minimized, and the contact of a lap side surface that causes performance and durability problems can be avoided. <P>SOLUTION: The scroll compressor is configure to form a plurality of compression chambers with a fixed scroll having a spiral lap on an end plate and a turning scroll having a lap that engages with the lap of the fixed scroll, and compress air by reducing the volume toward the center of the compression chamber by the turning motion of the turning scroll. A chamfer 16 is formed at the upper end of an outer circumference of the lap of the turning scroll, and a recess 17 is formed at the bottom of an outer wall of the fixed scroll. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
