<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe and well workable mechanical parking device with a cargo-handling parking room in which the cargo-handling parking room can be completely isolated from a movable area in the device and a space can be provided all around a vehicle stored in the cargo-handling parking room for facilitating the opening/closing of a door and the loading/unloading of cargoes, and to provide its operation method. <P>SOLUTION: The mechanical parking device with the cargo-handling parking room includes the cargo-handling parking room 20 storing one of shelves 16 and shut off from an adjacent external passage 2 via a partition wall 21, an indoor traversing device 22 for traversing a pallet 18 between an adjacent position b in the cargo-handling parking room and a center position c a predetermined distance apart from a hoisting carrier 12, a movable floor 24 located in the traverse range of the pallet 18 at the same height as the pallet in the cargo-handling parking room and capable of leaving the traverse range of the pallet, a fixed floor 26 fixed into another region than the movable floor and the pallet in the cargo-handling parking room at the same height as the pallet 18, a machine-side opening/closing door 28 for partitioning a hoistway-side opening 20a of the cargo-handling parking room in an openable/closable manner, and a passage-side opening/closing door 30 for partitioning an external-passage-side opening 20b of the cargo-handling parking room in an openable/closable manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
