<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably select a desired item from among items displayed on a display device operable by proximity. <P>SOLUTION: When proximity of an input tool to an image capturing mode icon 106 in an image capturing standby screen displayed on an input/output panel operable by proximity is detected, an option menu 133 including option icons 141 to 143 related to the image capturing mode icon 106 is displayed. Then, along with movement of a proximity position of the input tool, display forms of the option icons 141 to 143 displayed around the proximity position are changed.
