<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base paper for release paper that has a high filling properties, as well as excellent printability and conveyance capability when printing. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a base paper for release paper that has a base paper and a filling coating layer including a pigment and a binder and formed at least on a single side of the base paper. As the pigment, a flat pigment having an aspect ratio of 5 or more and a non-flat pigment having an aspect ratio of less than 5 are contained. It is preferable that the volume-average particle diameter of the total pigment is 0.5 μm or more and 5 μm or less. Also, it is preferable that, in a particle size distribution of the flat pigment, the ratio of the content of particles having a particle diameter of less than 0.5 μm and the content of particles having a particle diameter of 0.5 μm or more is 1:9 to 4:6 by mass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
