Class 82(2) An air distributing and agitating device in froth flotation machines comprises an impeller A composed of an upper and lower disc connected together by radially disposed vertical blades E, said upper disc having evenly spaced notches around its periphery; a hollow shaft D affixed to the upper disc for admitting air into the space between the discs and for rotating the latter; and an annular member H to the underside of which are secured a plurality of radially disposed blades 8. The lower disc of the impeller may also have notches around its periphery as well as a number of holes arranged in a circle concentric with the disc, and may be provided with radial ribs F. Member H may have slots formed therein, and blades B are alternately long and short. |
