<p>An apparatus for detecting a small pluggable optical module in place comprises a Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) optical module (100), a SFP optical module socket (200), a resistor (300) and a working power supply (400). The in-place detection pin (206) of the optical module socket is connected with the working power supply by the resistor. When the SFP optical module is not inserted into the SFP optical module socket, the in-place detection pin of the SFP optical module socket is disconnected with a digital working earth. The in-place detection pin of the SFP optical module socket corresponds to the pin inside the SFP optical module which is shorted to the digital working earth in internal. The apparatus for detecting the SFP optical module in place is implemented by hardwares, whereby the response rate is rapid and the optical module in-place information is given as soon as the SFP optical module is plugged in or pulled out, thereby solve the problem in the prior art that the detection rate is slow.</p> |
