<p>A molding material obtained by bonding 10-98.9 wt% of a thermoplastic resin (C) to a composite material comprising 1-50 wt% of a continuous reinforcing fiber bundle (A) and 0.1-40 wt% of a polyarylene sulfide prepolymer (B) or a polyarylene sulfide (B'), wherein the composite material additionally contains a 0-valent transition metal compound (D) or a low-atomic-valency iron compound (E) in an amount of 0.001-20 mol% relative to the amount of sulfur atoms in the component (B) or (B'). A prepreg. A process for producing a fiber-reinforced molding base material. This molding material exhibits properties that improve economic performance and productivity, and therefore the use of the molding material enables the easy production of a molded article having excellent mechanical properties.</p> |
