<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of suppressing slipping of a fixing film and satisfactorily performing fixation to a recording sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises a flexible fixing film 110, a nip plate 130 disposed in slide contact with the inner surface of the fixing film 110 and a pressure roller 150 for forming a nip portion NP between the fixing film 110 and the pressure roller 150 by sandwiching the fixing film 110 between the nip plate 130 and the pressure roller 150. The fixing device comprises a pressing part 171 which projects to the side of the pressure roller 150 from a part forming the nip portion NP of the nip plate 130 only at the outside in the sheet width direction of a sheet conveyance area and presses the fixing film 110 to the peripheral surface 150A of the pressure roller 150. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
