<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the focus accuracy of an AF sensor of a mount adaptor. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging system 1 is equipped with an imaging device 2, a mount adaptor 10, and a lens 7. The imaging system 1 is equipped with a contrast AF detecting portion 115 in the imaging device 2, and a phase difference AF detecting portion 103 in the mount adaptor 10. The imaging system 1 carries out focus detection by the contrast AF detecting portion 115 and the phase difference AF detecting portion 103, from incident light divided by a thin film mirror 14 of the mount adaptor 10. An adjustment value of the defocus amount of the phase difference AF detecting portion 103 is obtained on the basis of the output of the contrast Af detecting portion 115.
