<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a function of controlling power supply to a discharge lamp according to the state of the discharge lamp before and after actuating the device with small number of components, and to improve the circuit efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge lamp lighting device is provided with a function for not supplying power to the discharge lamp when the filament on the high voltage side or low voltage side of the discharge lamp is not attached before actuation, and for stopping power supply to the discharge lamp when the discharge lamp is removed after actuation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
