摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition having a cure speed that is sufficiently high to be applicable at the currently used increasing optical fiber drawing speeds. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a coated optical fiber wherein the inner primary coating or at least a portion of the single coating is prepared from a radiation curable composition, which when applied as a capillary film having a thickness which is chosen so as to fulfill the Lambert-Beer law, and cured with a 100W medium pressure mercury lamp, has a percentage of reacted double bond unsaturation of at least about 54% after exposure to a dose of about 4.4 mJ/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or wherein the outer primary coating is prepared from a radiation curable composition, has a percentage of reacted double bond unsaturation of at least about 56% after exposure under the same condition above.
