<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable prevention of an image defect, a jam and defective opening/closing of a transport unit by assuring abutment of a transport guide to positioning means on the body side. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 1, a body 2 includes roller-positioning parts formed on both ends of an image carrier 4 in the longitudinal direction and guide-positioning parts 6 formed nearby the roller-positioning parts. Further, a transfer roller unit 11 includes a transfer roller 25 disposed in abutment to the image carrier 4 and a separating lever for pivot-supporting the transfer roller 25, and is rotatably supported by a transport unit 3; a pre-transfer roller transport guide 12 includes rotation regulation parts 41 on both ends in the longitudinal direction, and is rotatably supported by the transport unit 3; and the transport unit 3 includes an energization member for energizing the pre-transfer roller transport guide 12 toward the guide-positioning parts 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
