<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can illuminate all indicators with substantially uniform brightness irrespective of the distance of the indicators from a light source and the positional relationship of the indicators. <P>SOLUTION: A light guide 11 guides light emitted from a light source 20. A design display 12 has a light emitter 122 for emitting light. A low refractive index portion 14a having a lower light refractive index than the light guide 11 is disposed between the light guide 11 and the design display 12. A light diffusing portion 13 is formed on the light guide 11, and diffuses light guided by the light guide 11.
