<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string-like reinforced fiber composite produced by using a carbon fiber, which has superior tensile strength originating from the carbon fiber, also has superior shear strength and has shape changeability. <P>SOLUTION: The string-like reinforced fiber composite comprises: an inner layer which is formed of a core wire composed of one or more string carbon fiber bundles; an intermediate layer containing a resin, which is provided around the core wire; and an outer layer which is provided around the intermediate layer and is formed of a knitted cylindrical body. The string-like reinforced fiber composite maintains superior mechanical performance such as tensile strength and an elastic coefficient, which originate from the carbon fiber that is the core wier, simultaneously has shape changeability, and particularly can be suitably used for a bar member for reinforcing concrete. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
