<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a tip-side door-body block to start lifting before the standing-up moment due to water pressure applied to the tip-side door-body block reaching or exceeding the falling-down moment due to weight of the tip-side door-body block. <P>SOLUTION: A concatenated floatable-body type flap gate 11, in order to close up an opening 3 when water w flows in through the opening 3, comprises a door body 12 consisting of a plurality of door blocks that are units segmented along the height direction and concatenated with each other rotatably towards the direction of the flow-in water w, with only the tip-side door block 12a being able to rotate by a prescribed angle even in the direction opposite the flow-in direction of the water w through the opening 3. A spring device 14, which helps the tip-side door-body block 12a float up towards the direction opposite the flow-in water w, is installed between the tip-side door-body block 12a and an intermediate door-body block 12b in a position parallel to the direction of the water flowing in through the opening 3 with the door body 12 being in a lying-down state.
