<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal fitting for extension which allows construction without removal of an upper story portion of an existing building and ensures required strength. <P>SOLUTION: A metal fitting 7 for extension which connects an existing portion and an extension portion of a building to be extended comprises a transverse connection plate 71 to be disposed across a transverse member 31 of the existing portion and a transverse member 11 of the extension portion and a longitudinal connection plate 72 to be disposed across a longitudinal member 32 of the existing portion and a longitudinal member 12 of the extension portion. The transverse connection plate and the longitudinal connection plate are formed of one metal plate which is bent at an approximately right angle. The transverse plate is provided with a notch 71b corresponding to the position of a bolt to fix another structure to the transverse member of the existing portion or to the transverse member of the extension portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
