ENCODING AND DECODING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DIVIDING MULTI-IMAGE BLOCK

An embodiment of the present invention provides an encoding method for dividing a multi-image block. The method comprises: determining a division manner and a division direction of an image block; dividing the image block according to the division manner and the division direction, and acquiring sub-image blocks arranged along a horizontal direction or vertical direction sequentially; determining whether the sub-image blocks need to be further divided, and if not, predicting an intra-frame encoding object according to the sub-image blocks, and acquiring residual data; performing transformation, quantification and entropy encoding on the residual data, so as to acquire the encoded residual data; and writing the division manner of the image block, the division direction of the image block, an identifier used for indicating whether the sub-image blocks need to be divided, and the encoded residual data into a code stream. By use of the encoding and decoding method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, when a pixel value of an image block in the horizontal direction or vertical direction changes slightly, better prediction accuracy may be acquired.
