<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium alloy turbine blade having both superior erosion resistance and high long term reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The turbine blade is made of an α-β titanium alloy as a base material, the base material having an average Vickers hardness of 320 Hv or less. The turbine blade is characterized in that a friction stir processing region having a thickness of from 0.5 to 3.0 mm is formed on a part of a surface including an leading edge of the turbine blade, and the friction stir processing region has an average Vickers hardness of 340 Hv or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
