<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire the image data of each division region efficiently in a configuration of dividing a region by using multiple image sensors arranged discretely and then capturing an image. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises multiple secondary image sensors arranged discretely, an image-formation optical system which forms the image of a subject, while magnifying, on the image planes of the multiple secondary image sensors, and moving means for moving the subject in order to capture the image a plurality of times while changing the division region the image of which is captured by each secondary image sensor. At least some of multiple division regions are deformed or displaced on the image plane by the aberration of the image-formation optical system.
