<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating the sex of a globefish belonging to Takifugu, and to provide a reagent usable for the method. <P>SOLUTION: It is found out that the sex of a globefish belonging to Takifugu can be discriminated by using a sexually specific polymorphism of amhr-II gene as the target, and an oligonucleotide including a base sequence of at least 15 bases complementary to the base sequence of the amhr-II gene region is usable as a reagent for detecting the polymorphism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
