<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead cable monitoring system applicable to a wide range of overhead cables, and in which the maintenance load is low. <P>SOLUTION: The overhead cable monitoring system comprises a plurality of sensor nodes 100 installed in an overhead cable 200, detecting the information indicating the situation of the overhead cable and transmitting that information by radio, and a receiver which receives the information transmitted from the sensor node by radio. The sensor node includes a vibration power generator with an electrostatic induction power generation element as a power source. The electrostatic induction power generation element includes a first electrode, an electret provided on the first electrode, and a second electrode arranged separately from the electret, and is configured so that one of the electret or the second electrode moves relatively to the other by the vibration of an overhead cable. The electret is formed by injecting charges into (a) a fluorine-containing polymer having an aliphatic ring in the main chain or a resin film containing (a') a material derived from the (a)fluorine-containing polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
