<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain constant folding quality even when a paper sheet size and a paper sheet conveying speed vary. <P>SOLUTION: The paper sheet folding device includes: a pair of folding rollers 33 in which folding rollers 31, 32 as a pair arranged in a position deviated from a conveying path of a paper sheet are in contact with each other and rotate, and wind the paper sheet in to fold; a first bending support member 35 which can project from and retract in the conveying path of the paper sheet, bends the paper sheet, which is protruded in the conveying path and is conveyed in the conveying path, and guides the paper sheet in a contact position of the pair of folding rollers; a timing setting unit which sets a timing for projecting the first bending support member 35 in the conveying path based on the paper sheet size or the paper sheet conveying speed of the paper sheet; and a drive unit which drives the first bending support member 35 at a set timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
