PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize sure video output to an external output device.

SOLUTION: A portable phone device 1 having a video output function which outputs video information to a portable display part 20 comprises: switching means for switching a video image output destination between an external output device 2 which can output a video and the portable display part 20; and transmission means for transmitting a control signal to the external output device 2 via near field communication. The switching means switches the video output destination from the portable display part 20 to the external output device 2 when a power-on signal which turns on a power supply of the external output device 2 is transmitted as the control signal with the portable phone device 1 being communication-connected to the external output device 2.
