CONTENT DISTRIBUTION DEVICE AND CONTENT TRANSMISSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably distribute content in an optical disk without frequent occurrence of seek processing when plural reproduction devices request the content from a content distribution device having an optical disk drive.

SOLUTION: When receiving a second request for distributing content recorded in an optical disk mounted in an optical disk drive 101 while distributing the content to content reception devices 103 and 104 in response to a first request for distributing the content in the optical disk, a content distribution device 100 does not distribute the content in response to the second content distribution request. When receiving a content list acquisition request from the content reception devices 103 and 104 while distributing, to the content reception devices 103 and 104, content recorded in an optical disk mounted in the optical disk drive 101, the content distribution device 100 does not include the content recorded in the optical disk in a content list to be created.
