<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file division device and the like that simplify division of file data composed of plural clusters, improve efficiency thereof, and allow data desired by a user to be included in a desired file. <P>SOLUTION: A management unit to which data being read when a division instruction is indicated belongs is specified from among file data recorded in plural management units in a recording medium, the positions of boundaries with management units at the front and rear of the specified management unit are detected, a division position is determined from among the detected boundaries, management information is changed to first management information for managing data up to the division position as one file and second management information for managing data from the division position as another file, and thereby the problem is solved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
