PURPOSE: A front side monitoring apparatus and method for visually handicapped people is provided to detect an object located on the front side for notifying the visually handicapped people. CONSTITUTION: A front side monitoring apparatus and method for visually handicapped people includes a pressure sensing sensor(110), a front detection sensor(120), a first power source apparatus(130), a controller(140), a second power source apparatus(150), and an alarming device(160). The pressure sensing sensor is located on the sole of shoes for detecting the pressure. The front detection sensor is located on the front side of the shoes for scanning the front side of the shoes. The first power source apparatus is connected to the front detection sensor for supplying electricity. The controller controls the front detection sensor after receiving a pressure detection signal from the pressure sensing sensor. The second power source apparatus supplies electricity to the controller. The alarming device wirelessly receives an alarming signal from the controller for generating alarming sound.
