<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for joining a steel pipe pile and a foundation capable of relaxing bending moment generated at a joining section between infill concrete of a steel pipe pile and a foundation when an earthquake occurs and enabling the pile to effectively exert a bearing capacity thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention provides a steel pipe pile 20 where infill concrete 24 is placed in at least a head portion thereof with: a small diameter section 30 which has a smaller diameter than an inner diameter of the steel pipe pile 20 and has higher strength than the infill concrete 24 to join the infill concrete 24 and a foundation 1 by being installed at an inner diameter side of the steel pipe pile 20; and convex sections 22 as restraining means to restrain a displacement between the steel pipe pile 20 and the infill concrete 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
