<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily and accurately perform a teaching operation of a laser machining robot. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a teaching method for a laser machining robot that includes a laser scanner outputting a measurement laser beam and a machining laser beam and irradiates a workpiece with the machining laser beam to perform laser machining. The teaching method includes: a control step S4 of controlling an irradiation position of the measurement laser beam when irradiating the workpiece with the measurement laser beam based on a reference figure that is predetermined based on a reference irradiation position on the workpiece; a measurement step S5 of measuring reflected light that is caused when the measurement laser beam emitted from the laser scanner is reflected on the workpiece; an inclination calculating step S6 of comparing the reflected light with the reference figure to calculate an inclination of the surface of the workpiece at the reference irradiation position; and a data producing step S7 of producing teaching data concerning a posture of the robot based on the inclination calculated by an inclination calculating unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
