<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for program guide display and a broadcast reception device, enabling easy-to-understand program display for a user by providing the content of an electronic program guide, which is to be displayed on the basis of a display request, in a prescribed preset display mode, irrespective of a channel or a program currently selected. <P>SOLUTION: The program guide display device includes acquisition means and generation means. From a broadcast signal, the acquisition means acquires program information including a provider identification number. Based on the acquired program information, the generation means generates the electronic program guide having a channel axis in which a plurality of broadcast stations are arrayed in one direction and a time axis arrayed in a direction orthogonal to the channel axis, so as to form a region indicated by the channel axis and the time axis into a display region for the corresponding program information. When a request is made to display the electronic program guide, the generation means generates the electronic program guide in which a plurality of broadcast stations arrayed along the channel axis are successively arranged in order from the smallest corporation identification number included in the program information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
