Provided are a method and a system for establishing an end-to-end label switched path. The method comprises: a first node ascertains an end-to-end label switched path from the first node to a last node, said path comprising nodes corresponding to integrated devices and nodes having single switching capability; path request messages are sent to establish the end-to-end label-switched path hop by hop. Embodiments of the present invention can establish an end-to-end path integrated with multiple switching capabilities.
