The light (1) has a set of modular LED panel light elements (2) that are electrically connected with each other and are separately operable, where the light elements are received and supported in a profile retainer (5). The light elements are serially interconnected and are accommodated in a lengthwise-extended profiled rail (3) along a longitudinal extension. The light elements comprise contact portions (4) at opposite end regions, where the contact portions are complementary to each other and together produce a serial electrical contact of the light elements. The profiled rail is made of heat conducting material such as metal.
