The device (1) has first and second heat exchangers (WT1, WT2) for controlling temperature of exhaust air (4) and supply air (2), respectively and integrated into a cooling medium conduction system (10). The conduction system forms four heat pump arrangements with cooling medium circuits in operating modes, respectively. The second heat exchanger formed as an evaporator and a third heat exchanger (WT3) formed as a condenser are integrated into one of the cooling medium circuits for transferring heat from the supply air to a storage heater (7) such that the supply air is cooled. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a device for controlled ventilation of living space.
