Method, terminal and server for presenting prompt message are provided, wherein, the method comprises: monitoring the current state of the terminal; obtaining the state description information corresponding to the current state when the current state meets predetermined condition; obtaining the address information of application set; searching the application corresponding to the current state in the application set corresponding to address information based on the state description information, and obtaining the search result; presenting the prompt information on the search result in the terminal. The embodiment of present invention uses the solution which automatically captures user's operational scenario and used state, and automatically recommends application corresponding to current used scenario in the classification of application store based on scenario requirement. So that user can obtain the said application directly, and more quickly access to the software which may be accurately to meet the user's requirement.
