<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system that facilitates an operator to specify an issuance source of printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: In the system, a host computer 2 includes a print job transmission means for transmitting a print job, a notification pattern setting means for setting a notification pattern, and a notification control command transmission means for transmitting a notification control command in asynchronization with the print job transmission means. A printer 3 includes a print job reception means for receiving the print job, a printing means 48, a notification control command reception means for receiving the notification control command, a memory means 53 for storing the notification control command, a print job status detection means for detecting the command or the like of the print job, a first notification determination means for determining the presence of the notification control command, which contains the same information as host information and a print job ID of the print job, by using the detection results of the print job status detection means as a trigger, and a notification means 46 for giving the notification when there is the notification control command, based on a notification pattern of the notification control command. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
