<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner that has excellent resistance against mechanical stress, provides constant charge amount for a long period, and outputs images having good reproducibility, and a manufacturing method of the toner. <P>SOLUTION: Toner contains a binder resin, colorant, a releasing material, and a charge control agent. Toner mother particles include on the outermost surface a layer to which crosslinked resin fine particles are adhered, and a charge control agent containing calixarene derivatives represented by the following formula (I) inside the layer.
